As a way of fulfilling one of their objectives, which is providing learning materials to schools, AWESSCRV has donated chairs and desks to Bethel Pre and Primary School in Lungi.
Amidst the several needs of Bethel Pre and Primary School, shortage of desks and chairs were outstanding. The Proprietor of the school, Pastor Prince Foray appreciated the donation since it has reduced the shortage of desks in the school. He said the school needs recreational facilities, conducive learning environment and payment for teachers that are not on payroll.
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Advocacy for Women Ebola Survival, Street Children and Raped Victims organization, James Moore said, his passion for education drove him to look for support such donation. He said, he has done similar donation to a school in Juba and pledged his commitment to do more. He said, his organization has also supported rape Ebola survivors in the country and called on the school authorities and pupils to take good care of the donated items.
The Head girl of the school Edwina Adama Mansaray appreciated the organization for the donation and assured them that proper care would be taken of the furniture.
